Welcome to the Upper School! 7th through 12th Grade.
Academic Rigor. Jewish Values. Lifelong Impact.
Akiba Yavneh Academy’s Upper School prepares students in grades 7–12 to thrive in a complex world as knowledgeable, confident, and compassionate Jewish leaders.
We provide a dual curriculum that is both intellectually rigorous and deeply rooted in Jewish tradition. Our students are challenged to think critically, articulate their ideas, and take ownership of their learning—across disciplines and in both general and Judaic studies.
Graduates of the Upper School leave Akiba Yavneh Academy well-prepared for top colleges and gap year programs, and equipped to lead with integrity in the Jewish and broader world.
Excellence in General and Judaic Studies
Upper School students engage in a college-preparatory curriculum that emphasizes analytical thinking, strong communication skills, and real-world problem-solving.
Supportive Community and Leadership Development
Small class sizes allow for meaningful relationships with teachers and personalized academic support. Students benefit from a close-knit, values-based environment that encourages leadership, character, and responsibility. Our advisory program and robust student life offerings - clubs, athletics, arts and more - foster belonging, self-confidence and active engagement.

Tefillah (prayer) is a daily opportunity for reflection, connection, and spiritual growth. The rhythm of the Jewish calendar, experiential programming, and regular chesed (community service) opportunities bring Jewish life into the heart of the student experience
