Once you are in our AYA Connect Portal (by clicking the Apply Now button) you will:

Set up a profile
Submit an application for each student in the family by completing all fields on the application form
Receive and email that a checklist has been assigned to the student
Complete the required steps in the checklist to move on to the next step in admissions

Student Records and Supporting Documents

Notification of Admission and Enrollment

The Admission Committee selects students on the basis of school records, teacher recommendations, and school visit observations. All admission decisions are made in the best interest of each student. Once openings in each grade level have been filled, qualified applicants will be placed on a waiting list and notified should new openings occur.

If accepted, you will be granted access to our online enrollment agreement and given detailed instructions and timeline for completion. The enrollment agreement is a financial commitment. If you withdraw your child's enrollment on or before May 5, you will not be assessed any charges for tuition and fees. After that date, you may still be obligated to pay tuition and fees according to the terms of the enrollment agreement.

Immunizations

Each student enrolled at Akiba Yavneh Academy shall be immunized against vaccine preventable diseases caused by infectious agents in accordance with the most current immunization schedule adopted by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
Exceptions are considered based ONLY on the following condition:, an original written medical exemption from immunizations from a licensed U.S. physician (board certified allergist, immunologist, hematologist or oncologist) which is dated within one year from the date signed by the physician (unless it indicates a lifelong exemption).
Reasons of Conscience are not accepted.
Each student must have a current immunization record on file.
All new families must submit their immunization records with their enrollment for the school nurse to approve.

Student Visits

Prospective students entering K-8 will visit their current grade at AYA.

Prospective Students entering 9th-12th will have two dates that a visit will be available. These dates are TBD for the upcoming school year but will be updated shortly.

Prospective Early Childhood students will visit their current age program for 1-2 hours which will be by arrangement with the Director of ECP.
